Prof Upreet Dhaliwal is an ophthalmologist with a passionate interest in medical education and the medical humanities. She believes herself fortunate in having grown up in an age when cracking entrance exams was not the most important goal in life. She believes in the theory of multiple intelligences and that honing cognitive intelligence alone is not enough. For all-round development, in order to create the humane doctor, students' affective domain must also be stimulated.
